People love to hate your reaction to a thing but not seek to understand the full context to why the upset has escalated. Those are NOT your people. Move accordingly.

False. Accusation.

Wicked work ain’t it. But do you know what’s more wicked?

Offence.

Offence is something that I’ve struggled with greatly. Being betrayed by the ones closest to you rejected by the ones you were called to pray and intercede and stand in the gap for, being denied by people you were called to really love and support and have supported! Singlet torn and all dashed to die in a ditch. It is well.

IF I HAD MY WAY. FIRINGGGGG SQUADDDDD. THIS IS AN DICTATORSHIP YA HEAR ME.

I would have done some wicked wicked things if God let me have my way I can swear you that. But God had to arrest me before I would let it get so far, him knowing me? It would have been a suicide bombing mission and I wouldnt care, we must all die on this line of disrespect! (I know my words have been taken out of context before but to emphasise  I’m being HYPERBOLIC!!)

My mentality really had been you can’t shame the shameless and people can say, have you no shame?

Well no!

I wasn’t ever extended that grace and I absolutely wouldn’t be the one that covers shame in others that have hurt me. I will expose and if that means the same happens to me FINE but we must all know the EXACT truth….

But God.

When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden God asked Adam why have you disobeyed me and he said to God ‘Is it not the wife you gave me that caused this?’ No accountability for bad behaviour. God in this, unlike humans who will stone you and shame you.

He covered their shame. Very very merciful.

Let’s not negate the fact that they really sinned and disobeyed Him. God definitely punished them, banishing them from the garden of Eden however he covered their shame before this. Character.

In all of this let’s circle back to Joseph. I’ve been hearing about uncle a good 10 times from multiple people…I guess God loves when those he has set apart are in agreement.

It’s all nice and fun hearing the word of God to make you feel good, boost your ego and to get an otw blessing. But when He calls you to unwarranted lashings and suffering? Give it to somebody else chiii or as Jesus would say ‘Take this cup of suffering away from me’ (not my will but yours…lest my words get mistrued🙈 )

I felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to listen to the book The Bait of Satan by John Bevere on audible and finished it in a few days because I honestly couldn’t stop stop listening to it but honestly when he mentioned Joseph I was exasperated! How many times would I hear this man’s name!!!! Now if God had prematurely left Joseph to his devices with the gravity of the offenses that not only his brothers, but Potiphar’s wife had caused. Joseph in anger could have finished them all once he became Prime Minister but what did he do? He blessed those who cursed him, though he played a little tricky trick to get their hearts pumping a little because he just wanted to pull their leg abit, YET he blessed and loved on them. CHARACTER.

Something I severely lacked ….not that I’m the greatest now but something God is really taking me through. Consistently hearing the story of Joseph from multiple sources is endurance through false accusations and faithfulness under severe trials was something my heart was hard of hearing. And wanting to be right at all times ;but right does not always mean it’s the good or right thing. Pride and ego.

Killers.

One things I HATE being is misrepresented or falsely accused of what I didn’t do. Fair enough there have been times I haven’t been forthcoming with what I know about a situation but when I do communicate an observation of a situation I’m the wicked witch of the west??? Now I’m being painted what I’m not?

Something this loosely reminds me of is when I watched the movie Wicked. Funny enough I watched wicked first as a musical on a school trip which stirred my love for musical theatre as a singer and I don’t know why but the song Defying Gravity had such a profound impact on me until current day.

Elphaba.

Was someone who was treated terribly by people for her differences..the people closest to her (Glinda) once an enemy turned friend-ish, let’s say ‘frenemy’ for her own rise to power she sides with the propaganda machine that is the wizard and madame morrible who all manipulate her for their own personal gain. When she decides not to bow down to their wickedness they all find sneaky ways of making her look like what she is not … a witch. In all very very very very sneaky ways.

Elphaba has the power to do amazing things when cultivated for good! This DID NOT mean she was a witch…

-When Elphaba is given an invitation to the emerald city she is elated! Finally she is appreciated for what she has she is seen and heard for her talent.

SIKE

The rug is pulled from under her when she realise what she thought was, wasn’t. The ‘wizard’ was just a mere man that would use others for his benefit (flying monkeys 😉) and as tool for the vision he had for the city and for the voices of others not like him, and those wouldn’t stand for his cause, he subjugated and destroyed. Elphaba was just a tool for that and when choosing to not want to be a tool in the madness. Is discarded and slandered mercilessly. Strike One

-Madame Morrible who was supposed to teach her how to use the power she has, and harness the fire within her that needed to be tamed accurately and in the right environment. At the emerald city when Elphaba doesn’t want to use the special book to control and hurt the animals for the power of the Wizard she is hailed as public enemy number one. Strike Two

-Glinda comes along with her to the emerald city, she SEES what goes on behind the scenes that all is not what it seems yet, she wants to be among. Popularity and being preferred has been some thing she has always felt entitled to, you can see many, many examples of this in the movie. When Elphaba is down she sees then opportunity to gain favour with those who she so desperately wants to be among. She sides with them hailing Elphaba as a wicked witch. Ain’t it funny. Kendrick says ‘A dollar might just make ya lane switch that’s just how I feel.’ So with money success popularity and titles. She gives Elphaba the witches hat, cape and broom. Perception is everything now isn’t it? She is a witch!!! Strike. Three.

Agenda over facts….Elphaba is the wicked witch of the west and the world must see her burn DESPITE the fact that she kept her integrity and wanted to do the MORAL thing.

I have done MANY foolish things in my life I can hold my hand up! But to go after a man knowing he is a relationship? Is not one of them. If I find out after the pursuit. Fair enough but the former thing? I WILL NEVAAAAAAA. DO SUCH A THING.

I will say one thing being known as someone who has been promiscuous and morally questionable, the bias is already there FAIR! But find out the TRUTH! And me I love to find out a thing I’m VERY nosey I’ll find a way to find out if I cannot find out I’ll go to the source myself. But when you’re being lowkey baited and manipulated into a trap that you didn’t even know was there is another thing.

Not knowing something but being made to seem like I know is my real offence. And my response to that offence was pure arrogance and bitterness at how I was misled.

Knowing you’ve been seriously mistreated for what you don’t have or for what you do have is one of the most heartbreaking things I wrestled with God over…People baiting you to get a reaction out of you to add to the already biased case they’ve built against you.

People are funny, will call themselves principled until it benefits them or they like one thing more than the other because it looks good or has what’s desirable on the surface then those principles leave the window.

But why me? Why do they get to mistreat me? And they get away with itttttttt. Just because they have the things others want.

The accolades, popularity the success. Chai.

Them ones you have to charge it, shut my mouth, take the lashings and let God handle it.
